Pedders Suspension – Utilising PARts B2 V4

Pedders is an Australian and family-owned company with a 70-year history. The company specialise in the design, manufacturing and fitment of aftermarket suspension and braking products. With over 120 stores and authorised dealerships Australia-wide, they have a growing distribution network across Europe, North America, the Middle East, Africa and Asia. Pedders not only develops products for road cars but is also a partner in the Australian Supercars, developing products used in this racing category.

But the company had a problem. Their website was suffering a high bounce rate and needed a way to increase customer retention. Customers were seeking online cataloguing, and Pedders wanted a solution that would make them stand out from their online competitors. With the company having an incredible variety of parts for automotive suspension and braking systems, a sophisticated and effective software solution was required.

Knowing of our expertise and being a long-time user of PARts Console, Pedders contacted PARts DB for an approach that would solve their online issues. As Pedders plans to move to a complete e-commerce platform, they wanted a solution that can be easily managed and implemented.

We proposed using our PARts B2 catalogue solution, featuring custom development to cater for the experienced Pedders’ customer base. With the site customised to suit Pedders’ requirements, ongoing management would also be easier. After discussing the possibilities, Pedders decided to go ahead with our suggested solution. We implemented the Pedders Online B2 website in just four weeks. As Pedders was an existing customer, we were easily able to migrate their data.

Results

Pedders’ new online retail site went live on December 1, 2022. With the new site, Pedders customers could now easily find relevant products. For example, they can use the VIN/Rego search or the optimised product category and dropdown menus. “Our customers are now spending more time on our website and our bounce rate has dropped significantly as a result of the improved customer experience we are now able to provide via the PARtsB2 catalogue solution,” says Aiden, Pedders’ Digital Marketing Manager.
